The Diablo Timeline

I love a great game community, and I love when the developers and game companies make “presents” for the fans. Here is one of them related to the Diablo Universe

  • Do you want to know the chronological background of Sanctuary ?
  • The history the Sanctuary ? Where it all began ?
  • How the Prime Evils got out of the Burning Hells in the first place ?
  • We all do, and Blizzard knows that, so they built the Diablo Timeline where they explain some of the events that took place in the old days. They track the history from the very beginning (D1) until the end of the D2 game
There you will get more information about Diablo, Baal, Mephisto and the hero Tyrael. I will say no more, just read the timeline and feel the shivers running through your spine.

Rise up Diablo Fan! and stand by your favourite game!

The new Diablo should not be like WoW!

Diablo III should not be the next World of Warcraft. I mean in terms of gameplay and feeling. There is WoW for this, the new diablo game should not feel like it at all. I, as a fan i would be dissapointed to see this happen, and i fear it will… I don’t want it to resemble the warcraft online game at all.

Some may look at the gameplay video or the in-game screenshots and think: This looks like WoW… Actually it doesn’t and it is a good thing.

The Diablo games have always been dark and creepy full of blood and dark magic.

Ok, so diablo3 will not look like the World 🙂 what about the gameplay?

D3 should follow the D legacy, the same battle system and economy. Some say it was flawed but boy did the game rock! This game was meant to be insane, fast and addictive, a game for men not boys. Some say that the skill was taken out of the gameplay and any n00b could get big on the BattleNET. That was so false we all laughed. Indeed the economy was flawed, money had no value and the market was full of uber gear but so what?

Millions of people played this game every day, it was too much fun. All those flaws have made Diablo 2 the greatest game of all times (in my opinion).

For D3, we want the same thing, of course get rid of the flaws, make the economy stronger, make the overall game more balanced but keep the insanity ! Keep the fast gameplay and high number of clicks, keep the uber gear and runes – keep the diablo spirit alive

Diablo3 should not be like World of Warcraft, it should be unique and insane

    What about the blood?

In Diablo2 I loved the feeling of chaos. After a long battle i would stop and look around, there was a river of blood and a mountain of corpses. People loved that it was a feeling like you was actually doing something, not just smashing some pixels on the screen

Well in the Diablo3 gameplay video we can see that the blood is fading rather fast leaving no trace. I would hate to see an “empty” and clean map after 10 minutes of smashing heads … Blizzard please don’t ruin that feeling.

We, the fans want to see the bodies and the blood on the ground a long period of time. We know from the blizzcast that they are working on a solution for keeping the blood on the ground more. We know it will use more computer resources but it is worth it.
We like to see the signs of disaster, mayhem and death. This should be the purpose of D3 just like in D1 and D2.

At least leave a trace that a body was there …

    People love the Witch Doctor

After surfing the forums and the main diablo 3 board i have noticed something.
People love the Witch Doctor !

They almost forgot that there will be no more Necromancer because of this new character and they are all amazed: He is one powerful dude
We already can see waves in the fan world, people are talking and already debating the possible builds and of course the team play with a Barbarian.

Fans love voodoo, and the tribal feel of the witch doctor. It looks awesome too with that crazy look in his eye.
Overall people are glad to see this new character, a huge potential for all kinds of builds and more ways to slaughter monsters in Diablo3.

The Witch Doctor will certainly be a played and loved character.

    Diablo III community

There are so few Diablo3 sites out there, specially forums
Well i discovered a nice forum today : d3gaming.com. It is nice and i can already tell it will be huge soon in terms of D3 fans

We need to stay close together, we need to be united untill the game is released so we can smash our heads in PvP on BattleNET :)) just kidding
I love a new forum, i love places where Game communities can evolve.

Almost all the Blizzard games turned out great because of the fans and the fan feedback. We stated our opinions and our demands, and the Blizzard developers filtered all the rubbish out and kept all the golden ideas. Everybody wins!

    Long live the Diablo Nation
